Bullletpoints

That a narcissistic, fledgling writer like myself hasn't posted for a month should tell you something. It all started when I declared to my family that I wasn't going to cook anything more ambitious than a corndog until June 15th. I could see the trainwreck that was going to be my schedule from far off in the distance, so I decided to pre-empt what I could. And nutritious dinners were the first casualties...
Or, if corndogs are confusing, one could think of my schedule/life/demands in terms of one of my favorite TV shows, 30 Days. It's been a surreal experience that would be worthy of its own reality show credits. I will try my best to set the past 30 days to poetry or music. Hmmmm. Perhaps Paralyzer - Finger Eleven? Ew. Tried that. It won't work.
Looks like bulletpoints:
Homeschool faire
(that was scary)
Lucy's birthday/party
Mackey's preschool graduation
Lucy's award ceremony (she won a very special citizenship award that only a couple of kids in her grade won)
Grown up parties
Kid parties
Brownies - as in Girl Scouts...vs. the overconsumption of baked goods...
Activity Days
Meetings
Photoshoots
End of year party planning (TX style)
Lucy's baptism
Lucy's paternal grandparents, aunt, and cousin coming for an extended visit
Swim Team
Martial Arts
Articles and publicity
There was not a single DAY that wasn't filled in on my calendar!!! Ugh!!! I know some of you thrive on that and others of you are just accustomed to that. Me? Not so much. Did I mention the part where Jon was gone for 75% of this?

Anyway...there are some funny details that I can't post on the site; but if you want to email me for a good laugh, feel free.

You are not alone when it comes to a blog suffering from the demands of the end of the school year. What were the photoshoots, publicity, articles? That all sounds interesting (as did everything else going on).
