Irreverent: Breast Augmentation...read at your own risk

My husband is trying to convince me that it's just because I spend so much time at the gym that I think everything is bigger in TX...that the gym and it's country club-esque pool isn't representative of the general population. And by everything in TX, I really mean the boobs. Apparently, there are only three sizes to choose from for breast augmentation: 1) please fill out what all those babies took away from me; 2) porn star; and 3) Texas-size. I don't mean to be indelicate, but you just can't miss it down here (but I totally appreciate my husband's trying to!). All up north where they belong, too! **Sigh** For those of you who enjoy a 'story with pictures', you'll be disappointed in this blog. I don't quite have the nerve to say, "excuse me, are those real and can I post those on my blog?" Please feel free to weigh in...

This is my NEW way of looking at it. First there ain't nothing a good bra can't fix. And we know you aren't entering any wet t-shirt contests in the near future (very big in TEXAS)... That said implants are a necessity when you have nothing else going on for you. Fortunately you have nothing to worry about. You don't need the breast to be totally FABULOUS and I don't think anyone would even notice if you had them. You have too many other things going for you. And you know I don't give compliments freely!

They just came out with a study that showed that women with breast implants are 3 times as likely to commit suicide - possibly because many of them have self esteem issues to start with. As for me, I'm going to stick with what I've got (and it isn't much). I find that clothes fit a whole lot better and running is easier! :)

Dawn! You are a rock star! Thank you for making my day! You may change your tune when you come with me to the pool, though...=)! Still on for October? We need to go before the pool closes...

This is a touchy subject for me. I can't go bra shopping without crying- just ask Alex. All I am going to say is that you have nothing to worry about Rachael. You really do look fabulous!

I'm sorry about the tears!!! "Bra shopping", and it's dear shopping cousin "Bathing Suit Shopping", are two shopping experiences that I actually have to steel myself for. My friend Dawn tells me about this world of bras out there...I just haven't been brave enough to explore. I'll let you know my findings...

It's true. They are bigger in Texas. Especially at the gym. A few years ago, I visited my friend in Chicago and it just occured to me, I turned to her and said, "Wow! Not everyone has boob jobs, do they?" I guess I'd been in Texas too long.

Though I love it here, my sad 32 A's don't quite fit in, but I like being me and after 3 c-sections, have no desire for more surgery.

Hmmm -- I would not worry about the size of your boobs. You are gorgeous!!

And believe me when I tell you that big sometimes gets in the way ;-)
